The Batik Guild is a non profit making organisation which was formed in 1986 by a group of artists in London. It's members come from all over Britain as well as other parts of the world. They include artists – both professional and amateur, teachers and those who simply enjoy batik.

The Guild's principal objective is to encourage a wider appreciation and understanding of batik as a centuries - old craft which continues to meet the needs of creative artists working today.

The Batik Guild has supported several projects of the Bima Sakti group for the past few  years through fund-raising and personal visits by members, and hopes to continue a close association.
